Importing
backgrounds and scenery objects
|
Once you have registered Scenery Maker, you can use the Backdrop and Layer buttons to import your own images.
Additional images are
available from the members download library.

| Backdrop |
Prompts you to choose an image, then scales it to fill the scene. The backdrop is always displayed behind other layers, and cannot be moved.
Supported types are: BMP, JPG, GIF, TGA, TIF, PCX and GLI.

| Layer |
When you import an image on a Layer, it is not scaled. You can reposition the image by dragging it, and can change the layer number (i.e.depth) using the Back and Front buttons.
|
| Transparency |
Layer images can also have transparency. Any pixels that are pure black in the image are made transparent. This does not apply to JPG images.
If you do not want transparency, either import JPG files, or else lighten the image slightly to avoid pure black. |
